On Tuesday, March 31st, US-ATMC Director Dr. Richard Dasher, will kick-off the series with “Asia Entrepreneurship Update 2026,” an overview of current trends and dynamics of major entrepreneurial ecosystems in Asia.</p>

<p>Dr. Richard Dasher has directed the US-Asia Technology Management Center since 1994 and is Adjunct Professor of East Asia Languages and Cultures at Stanford University. From 1998 – 2017, he served concurrently as Executive Director of the Center for Integrated Systems (now Stanford System X Alliance) and held Consulting Professor appointments in the Department of Electrical Engineering. In 2004, Dr. Dasher became the first non-Japanese person to join the governance of a Japanese national university, serving on the Board of Directors and then on the Management Council of Tohoku University until 2011. Other service (selected) includes the Program Committee of the World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI) of MEXT since its founding in 2007, and advisory roles with research institutes, accelerators, and nonprofits in Asia, Canada, and the U.S.</p>

<p>The Entrepreneurship in Asian High-Tech Industries series begins March 31, 2026 and continues until June 2, 2026. Seminars will be held in-person and on Zoom, Tuesdays, 4:30 PM – 5:50 PM.</p>
