Join us for the 14th Annual Stephen H. Schneider Memorial Lecture hosted by Students for a Sustainable Stanford.

From Monsanto to Jeffrey Epstein: Contemporary Challenges to Scientific Integrity

This year, we invited Dr. Naomi Oreskes, Henry Charles Lea Professor of the History of Science and Affiliated Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard University, as our speaker.  A world-renowned earth scientist, historian and public speaker, she is the author of the best-selling book, Merchants of Doubt (2010) and a leading voice on the role of science in society, the reality of anthropogenic climate change, and the role of disinformation in blocking climate action.

In this lecture, Dr. Oreskes will build on her recent glyphosate work and discuss public trust, climate science, and corporate influence.

The Schneider Lecture is held annually in honor of Dr. Stephen H. Schneider, Stanford professor and world-renowned climate scientist. This event was hosted by Students for a Sustainable Stanford and sponsored by the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment.
