 nWe invite you to Register Now and join us virtually to hear about the cut
 ting-edge research!\n\nFor the fourth year in a row\, the Next Generation 
 Faculty Symposium is bringing together phenomenal researchers in the broad
  field of quantitative biological and biomedical sciences. The symposium w
 ill showcase research on topics ranging from biomechanics to evolution pre
 sented by speakers with demonstrated excellence in research and a commitme
 nt to enhancing equity and inclusion in STEM.  Since\, 2020\, 15 NextGen s
 peakers have accepted tenure track positions and 7 participants have joine
 d the faculties at Berkeley\, Stanford\, and UCSF. \n\nThis year\, the eve
 nt will feature 10-minute live-streamed talks from selected late-stage gra
 duate students and postdoctoral fellows. These researchers have applied pr
 ior to this event and were paired with faculty mentors with similar resear
 ch interests who can provide 1:1 mentorship surrounding the faculty job se
 arch process. Past participants have successfully launched independent lab
 s at a variety of institutions across the country\, providing a rich netwo
 rk of fellow star scientists and helping to fortify a flourishing communit
 y of faculty of color in the SF Bay Area.
