LEAN, GRIP, RELEASE: In a world that constantly pulls us between states of being. Between proximity and distance, control and surrender, preservation and transformation, the artists in this exhibition navigate these tensions through diverse media and perspectives. Lean, Grip, Release brings together works that explore how we position ourselves in relation to our bodies, our communities, and our histories. These artists engage with themes of transformation, agency, and embodiment, creating works that invite viewers to consider the points of contact and separation in their own lives. Whether through drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, or participatory work, these artists invite us to consider what it means to lean into challenging conversations, to grip the complex realities of our existence, and to release expectations and embrace transformation. In doing so, they create spaces for connection, reflection, and possibility. — Leila Weefur

Featured artists: Lisa Do, Ami Dongchau, Bhu Khongtaveelert, Alice Grace, Jackie Liu, Isis-Kohle Jackson, Trinity Gardner, Diego Maglione, Jace Tao, Jenny Tao, Gregory Medina-Kenyon, and Hunter Taylor-Black
