DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to the 35th Annual Jonathan J. Kin
 g Lecture\, which will be held in a hybrid format—in person at the Stanford
  Faculty Club and via livestream—on Tuesday\, October 14\, 2025\, at 5:30 P
 M (PT).  This year’s distinguished speaker\, Dr. Arthur Kleinman\, will pre
 sent: When Care Comes First: A Radical Reimagining of Medical Ethics.  In t
 his timely and thought-provoking lecture\, Dr. Kleinman will explore the mo
 ral dimensions of caregiving and propose a transformative vision for the fu
 ture of ethical medical practice.\n\n \n\nA world-renowned scholar and prol
 ific author\, Dr. Kleinman’s career spans over five decades and has profoun
 dly influenced the fields of anthropology\, global health\, ethics\, psychi
 atry\, and narrative medicine.  His seminal book\, The Illness Narratives: 
 Suffering\, Healing\, and the Human Condition\, remains a foundational text
  for patient-centered care.\n\n \n\nThis milestone event features a true lu
 minary whose work has shaped generations of clinicians\, scholars\, and car
