Each year, the Teaching and Mentoring Academy offers a day-long conference focused on skills and scholarship for effective teaching and mentoring. The conference is offered in collaboration with other Stanford University and Stanford Medicine entities. This year’s conference themeis Creating Positive Learning Climates which includes all factors that contribute to creating positive learning spaces. Topics of discussion will include instructional design, delivery, assessment, creating a sense of belonging, addressing issues of identity and equity, attending to wellness(for teachers and learners), and more.
