How does the dissertation fit into the broader range of work one undertakes in a doctoral program? Where does it fit in a longer trajectory of one's scholarly career? Professor Kellen Hoxworth (University at Buffalo) shares his experience of completing his monograph Transoceanic Blackface: Empire, Race, Performance from research conducted for his second-year essay and dissertation while enrolled in the Stanford TAPS PhD program. This panel will include a Q&A to discuss the research and trajectories of current TAPS students. Light Refereshments will be served.
