Event Details:

Let’s celebrate the community we’ve built across Stanford, honor our journeys and achievements, and look forward to creating stories that will inspire us for years to come.

Our featured guest speaker will be the dynamic Dr. Alok Patel. In his talk, “One AAPI, Many Communities: Celebrating Our Diversity”, Dr. Patel will highlight:

  • Understanding the specific medical needs and concerns within the AAPI community
  • How we can share our collective stories for public health
  • Improving representation of all of our unique cultures

You'll also hear about his journey from medical school to journalism to collaborating with media experts on the national stage, how his Indian American identity influenced the process, and how he continuously found inspiration from other members of the AAPI tribe.

The event will be held simultaneously at 3 locations:

  • Historic Campus at Li Ka Shing - Berg Hall (Dr. Alok Patel will be speaking from this location)
  • Stanford Redwood City Campus at Cardinal Hall - C104
  • Virtually through Zoom
