Event Details:

Join us for an overview of the impact of alcohol on our relationships and introduction to current, evidence-based perspectives on how to manage it. This free webinar is ideal for people who drink alcohol, are in a relationship, and want to learn about how to reduce or eliminate the negative impact alcohol can have on your relationship. This class does not provide specific advice or guidance, but it does provide a safe, non-judgmental context within which to learn clinically valid information about an often difficult and volatile subject.

The presentation will explore the cultural history of alcohol use and what we know about the impact of alcohol on our brains as well as the neurobiology of human attachment, how alcohol affects those attachment-involved functions of the brain, and how alcohol impacts human relating. We’ll complete the class by presenting pragmatic, evidence-based perspectives and tools that can help to manage alcohol in relationships, with an eye towards getting the best out of both.

This class will be recorded and a one-week link to the recording will be shared with all registered participants.
