DESCRIPTION:Join us for a casual conversation over boba with artist Sofía 
 Gallisá Muriente\, in conjunction with the show Celaje (Cloudscape) on vi
 ew at the Cantor Arts Center through May 19\, 2024. Celaje (Cloudscape) is
  a 41-minute video piece that explores the connection between recent natur
 al disasters and Puerto Rico’s colonial history. It incorporates home mo
 vies\, recordings of the artist’s grandmother\, and post-disaster footag
 e\, serving as an elegy for impermanence and the impact of the tropical cl
 imate on historical records.\n\nLearn more about Sofía’s practice and h
 ow she uses text\, image\, and archive as medium and subject to resist col
 onial erasures. This event is open to Stanford students only. Boba is limi
