Event Details:
It has been more than 40 days now that the movement for freedom in Iran is ongoing and has become a worldwide movement among the Iranian community with women at its forefront. As the events related to this movement have impacted our Stanford community members of the Iranian and Iranian American descent, Bechtel International Center is inviting you for a community awareness evening, on Tuesday, November 15th, at Bechtel courtyard, to learn from Stanford faculty, scholars, and students about the significance and impact of the freedom movement in Iran and its aftermaths on the international level. The director of the Iranian Studies program at Stanford, Dr. Abbas Milani will have a speech at the event, and we will continue the event by an open microphone for any of the Stanford members who would like to have an opportunity to share their thoughts on the recent events in Iran with the broader Stanford community. If you would like to participate in the open microphone opportunity, please submit your script on the rsvp form. You can opt for submitting an anonymous statement to be recited at the event by not providing your name on the form.
