 ld-renowned social psychologist Dr. Jennifer Eberhardt (Biased: Uncovering
  the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See\, Think\, and Do) joins visi
 onary legal scholar john a. powell ( The Power of Bridging: How to Build a
  World Where we all Belong) to explore the roots of implicit bias and the 
 architecture of "othering."  Join us to learn how  to soothe tensions\, br
 idge divides\, and foster a sense of belonging in a complex world.\n\njohn
  a. powell is Director of the Othering and Belonging Institute and Profess
 or of Law\, African American\, and Ethnic Studies at the University of Cal
 ifornia\, Berkeley.\n\nA social psychologist at Stanford University\, Jenn
 ifer L. Eberhardt conducts research on race and inequality. She not only h
 ighlights the negative impact that racial bias can have on us in these set
 tings — she provides clear direction on what we can do about it. \n\nThi
 s event is in partnership with the Palo Alto City Library and Stanford Uni
