Helen grew up just outside of New York City. She went to Harvard for undergrad, where she majored in molecular and cellular biology and worked in Michael Greenberg's lab. She got her PhD from Stanford; Tom Clandinin was her graduate advisor. She is currently a postdoc with Rachel Wilson at Harvard Medical School. Outside of lab, Helen enjoys hiking, photography, and karate.
