Adrienne L. Jackson was born and raised in San Francisco, CA.  She serves as the Praise and Worship leader for the Grace Tabernacle Community Church where her father is the Bishop and Pastor.   As the youngest daughter of Bishop Ernest L. and First Lady Doris, Reverend Adrienne was exposed to the power of faith and the transformative nature of ministry.

At the tender age of 3, she began to demonstrate a calling to ministry. It was a sight to behold as family and friends would playfully ask her to lay hands on them and offer prayers. In a comical twist, they would fall out as if they were overcome by the spirit. Little did we know at the time, this was a glimpse into the divine calling that would shape her life.

Reverend Adrienne works as the Community Initiatives Coordinator for the Office of Overdose Prevention in the Division of Behavioral Health with the San Francisco Department of Public Health.  She is leading efforts to reduce racial disparities of fatal and nonfatal overdoses that are occurring in the Black/African American communities.  In this capacity, she has been able to connect with people from all walks of life and help link them to services for housing, treatment, and medical addiction services.  Having the ability to minister to people outside of the four walls of the church has been life changing. 

Rev. Adrienne’s journey has not been without its challenges. There have been times when she has doubted herself and her abilities, but she has always been able to lean on her faith and her family for support. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health and a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration.
