As part of the Stanford Libraries pop-up exhibits, Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Collections will be featuring contemporary and antiquarian books and maps capturing natural and human caused disasters. Explore the stories and lessons found in materials relating to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius and Krakatoa, the Great Kantō earthquake in Japan, oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico, and the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
