Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Collection exhibit series: Oceans
In the 2025–2026 academic year, Branner Library’s exhibit series will explore Earth’s oceans’ complex biological and ecological systems that regulate climate and support life.
July–August’s exhibition explores the history, science, and technologies used to chart Earth’s largest environment. The collection highlights how cartographers, navigators, geologists, and oceanographers have transformed our understanding of the oceans, from mapping coastlines and trade routes to revealing underwater mountains, trenches, and habitats.
The exhibit is available for viewing Monday through Friday during regular library open hours.
