Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Collection exhibit series: Naturally Hazardous

From the cosmically unavoidable to the anthropogenically-induced, Earth can be naturally hazardous to humans. In the 2024-25 academic year, Branner Library’s exhibit series will feature the science and impact of volcanoes, wildfires, drought, and more.

March 4 - March 26:  Explore the causes and impacts of earthquakes, from past seismic events to assessing the effects of predicted shaking, through books, maps, and data.

Books and a selection of maps are displayed on the library's main floor. Additional maps are displayed on the library mezzanine exhibit wall (access from within the library). The exhibit is available for viewing during regular library open hours
