Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Collection exhibit series: Oceans

In the 2025–2026 academic year, Branner Library’s exhibit series will explore Earth’s oceans’ complex biological and ecological systems that regulate climate and support life.

May’s exhibition explores the vital chemical processes that shape our marine environments, highlighting the ocean's role in regulating global climate and driving biogeochemical cycling.

Featured works delve into the fundamental chemistry of seawater, hydrothermal circulation, and the complex, evolving carbon cycle.This collection brings together scientific research that illuminates the complex, changing, and essential nature of ocean chemistry.

The exhibit is available for viewing Monday through Friday during regular library open hours
