Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Collection presents an exhibit honoring the LGBTQIA+ voices in our community in a celebration of Pride Month!
Pride Month marks a time to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ voices in our community and works to achieve equal justice and equal opportunity for all people regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
At Branner Earth Sciences Library, we are celebrating Pride Month with two related exhibits. One spotlights queer ecology, a growing subfield of environmentalism aiming to break the binaries that influence the way we think about and interact with the natural world. This month’s map exhibit Here, There, Everywhere highlights queer geographies, locally in the Bay Area, across North America, and around the world showing how queer spaces, history, and culture are all around us.
Books and a selection of maps are displayed on the library's main floor. Additional maps are displayed on the library mezzanine exhibit wall (access from within the library).
Check out past exhibits featured in the Branner Library Newsletter. The exhibit is available for viewing throughout the month during regular library open hours.
