He graduated with a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice. In 2024, Baltimore Magazine named Atman and the other co-founders of the Holistic Life Foundation "Game Changers." He is also a published author in the Journal of Abnormal Childhood Psychology, and co-authored "Let Your Light Shine". Smith also partnered with the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and Penn State's Prevention Research Center on the first randomized control study on the effectiveness of yoga and mindfulness on urban youth.
