Holmes, San Francisco

Megan Stringer is an Associate Principal with Holmes. She champions Holmes' SE 2050 commitment and gets sustainable structures built at impressive scales. Megan has overseen North America’s largest mass timber project at the Microsoft Silicon Valley Campus, utilized low-carbon concrete pours at Intuit, and performed many life cycle assessments. She also serves as President of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California.

This talk will explore why structural engineers play a key role to reducing the impact of the built environment. Attendees will learn how the shift towards carbon neutrality affects structural design, why it is important, and how low carbon materials, like mass timber are changing the game.
