Want a chance to explore your classroom and its technology before the first day of instruction? Join us for a hands-on Classroom Open House designed to prepare you to teach confidently in any Stanford learning space.
During this drop-in event, you’ll:
- Learn about updates to 90+ classrooms as part of the Classrooms Reimagined program.
- Get hands-on experience with the classroom tech—practice using various systems, connecting your own device, and troubleshoot common issues with support from our design engineers and AV specialists.
- Explore how to design engaging, technology-enhanced learning experiences that align with your course goals and teaching style.
Whether you're a new or returning instructor, and regardless of your tech comfort level, this open house is designed to meet you where you are. Come by any time between 11:00am and 2:00pm to explore, practice, ask questions, and connect with fellow educators.
Open to Stanford faculty and academic teaching staff in any discipline. No registration required.
By attending, you’ll:
- Increase your familiarity with updated Stanford classrooms.
- Practice using and troubleshooting equipment with your own device(s).
- Explore active learning strategies that leverage classroom technology.
- Brainstorm flexible teaching configurations that address real-world instructional challenges.
Classroom spaces explored will include a range of layouts (lecture, seminar, small group), furniture types (whiteboards, mobile seating), and tech setups (Smart Panel, Interactive VideoConference, and more).
