Event Details:

Join us for “Heart Rhythms: A Community Drum Circle for Well-Being,” a joyful and contemplative gathering at Memorial Church. We will celebrate spring and cultivate well-being by connecting with each other through the power of drums.

The drum circle will be facilitated by Jeni Swerdlow, Founder of Drummm Rhythmic Events. With over 25 years of experience, she blends creativity and wellness in her approach to transforming workplaces, communities, and families through the universal language of rhythm.

The event will be co-hosted by students of LIFE 170/TAPS 170W: Laughter and Play for Well-Being and LIFE/MUSIC 183G: Sing and Be Well, who will open and close the event by leading practices they’ve learned in these classes.

All are welcome to attend, watch, dance and relish in the magnificent architecture of Memorial Church as it becomes activated by the healing sounds of drums, laughter, and song. No previous musical experience required.

This event is also open to prospective students and families visiting for Admit Weekend.

Though participants of the drum circle should arrive shortly before 11:30 to secure their spot, observers and listeners can arrive any time during the event.

Participation in the drum circle is limited to the first 75 people who sign up. Priority will be given to students.

You are welcome to bring your own drum, but we request that you still RSVP and indicate that you are bringing it.

RSVP is required for those wishing to participate, as well as those wishing to observe and listen.
