DESCRIPTION:Date & Location\n\nSaturday\, March 8\, 2025\, 8:30 AM - 4:00 P
 M\, Stanford Hospital\, Stanford\, CA\n\nOverview\n\nA one-day course that
brings together experts in the field of advanced bronchoscopy to provide
an introduction to beam computed tomography (CBCT)\, its application to br
onchoscopy\, and its role in future bronchoscopic interventions. As treatm
ents for lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies continue to improve\,
there is increasing pressure for growth and advancement in the realm of d
iagnostic bronchoscopy. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is an advance
d imaging modality with unparalleled capabilities for intraprocedural visu
alization and guidance. This course will provide insights and guidance int
o operationalizing a CBCT-guided bronchoscopy program at the institutional
level\, and the interdisciplinary approach to advanced bronchoscopy from
the allied health professional's perspective. Lastly\, the course offers s
everal hands-on sessions for attendees to experience and become familiar w
 ith CBCT technologies.\n\nRegistration\n\nPhysicians: $250\nRN\, RT\, APP\
, and other healthcare professionals: $75\nTrainees (Residents & Non-IP Fe
 llows): $75\nIndustry: $500\n\nIP Fellows: **Complimentary registration \
; Must update CME Profile with institution/organization for verification**
 \n\nCredits\n\nAMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (6.25 hours)\, Non-Physician
 Participation Credit (6.25 hours)\n\nTarget Audience\n\nSpecialties - Crit
 ical Care & Pulmonology\n\nProfessions - Fellow/Resident\, Non-Physician\,
Physician\n \n\nObjectives\n\nAt the conclusion of this activity\, learne
rs should be able to:\n\n\nDescribe the role of CBCT in diagnostic broncho
scopy. Discuss the key differences and benefits of CBCT-guided bronchoscop
y as compared to other bronchoscopic techniques. List the main features an
d general operation of CBCT as used in diagnostic bronchoscopy. Identify p
otential methods for overcoming the challenge of obtaining access to CBCT.
\n\nAccreditation\n\nIn support of improving patient care\, Stanford Medic
ine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medi
cal Education (ACCME)\, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (
ACPE)\, and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)\, to provide c
ontinuing education for the healthcare team. \n\nCredit Designation \nAmer
ican Medical Association (AMA) \nStanford Medicine designates this Live Ac
tivity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians sho
uld claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participat
ion in the activity. \n\nAmerican Board of Internal Medicine MOC Credit \n
Successful completion of this CME activity\, which includes participation
in the evaluation component\, enables the participant to earn up to 6.25 M
OC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenanc
e of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s resp
onsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the p
urpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.\n\nMOC Participation Threshold\nLectur
es: Learner writes a reflective statement and makes a commitment to change
or maintain an element of practice. Validity of all written statements wi
ll be assessed prior to awarding credit. (3.75 ABIM MOC Credits).\n\nHands
-On: Learner actively engages in simulation as judged by a facilitator or
 observer. (2.5 ABIM MOC Credits).
