Event Details:

Cultivate your capacity to flourish and contribute to the health and well-being of yourself and your community - especially in the recent challenging times. Deepen your resilience, compassion, and wisdom with contemplative practices. Learn from leading contemplative science researchers while delighting in developing practical contemplative skills.

This online engagement course is taught in conjunction with Stanford’s free 2022 Contemplation by Design Summit with over 40 free lectures and guided experiential sessions in labyrinth walking, yoga, kum nye, tai chi, qigong, trauma prevention and healing, and more.

Separate registration in at least four of the Contemplation by Design Summit sessions is required as part of class. The two class sessions provide bookends for the Summit to help you maximize its benefits and create a personal action plan. Join us!

Instructor: Tia Rich, PhD, is a lecturer in the Stanford School of Medicine and director of Contemplation By Design. She has been integrating breath-based self-care, mindfulness, compassion and meditation into health and well-being programs for Stanford University since 1984.
