 rom 11:30-12:30 pm PST\, where we will be hearing from two of our Biodesig
 n innovation fellows\, Charlene Tang and Emeka Amamdikwa\, about their wor
 k in bridging the funding gap for population health screening innovations 
 in the UK and using low-cost communication innovations to increase health 
 care access in Nigeria.\n\nSpeaker: Emeka John Amamdikwa\n\nEmeka is a 202
 5-26 Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellow with a background in medicine an
 d human physiology. He is also deeply involved in health humanitarian work
  across Africa through his NGO\, Sustainable Health Initiative Africa. He 
 will discuss his lessons on using low-cost process innovations to increase
  blood donation to address shortages\, especially for the treatment of wom
 en who have experienced postpartum hemorrhage in the Gambia.\n\nSpeaker: C
 harlene Tang\n\nCharlene is a 2025-26 Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellow
  with a background in biochemistry\, business development\, and early-stag
 e venture capital. She will share insights from her work as the first comm
 ercial lead at Cyted Health\, bringing to the clinic a novel diagnostic te
 st for earlier cancer detection and redesigning the Gl care pathway. From 
 how she built strategic partnerships for commercial growth across the UK t
 o securing non-dilutive funding to shift from hospital-to community-based 
 care\, and escaped pilotitis to national adoption.
