  use of geothermal resources\; and to enable prompt and open reporting of 
 progress. We strongly encourage all scientists and engineers involved in g
 eothermal reservoir technology to attend the workshop.\n\nTopics\n\nPapers
  will be presented on recent research relating to geothermal reservoirs in
 cluding:\n\nCase Studies: reservoir response to production\, effects of in
 jection\, scaling characteristicsEnhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS): curren
 t and future activitiesEngineering Techniques: reservoir simulation\, empi
 rical methods\, well tests\, tracersField Management: strategies for explo
 itation\, injection\, scale inhibitionExploration: geophysics\, geochemist
 ry\, geology\, heat flow studies\, outflowsDrilling and Well Bore Flows: w
 ell stimulation\, bore flow modeling\, hydro-fracturing\, scalingLow Entha
 lpy Systems: applications of heat pumps\, hot dry rock technologyGeoscienc
 es: application of geophysics\, geochemistry\, thermodynamics and fluid me
 chanics.Papers\n\nPapers accepted for presentation and/or publication are 
 produced on a standard template that we supply. The papers will be availab
 le as a Proceedings CD at the Workshop and subsequently published in the o
 nline collection.\n\nContinuing Education Unit (CEU)\n\nCEU is a nationall
 y recognized standard for documenting completion of noncredit continuing e
 ducation programs. Stanford Geothermal Workshop is approved for 2 CEU Hour
 s. Processing time is typically 1-2 weeks after the end of the workshop. T
 he transcript will be sent as a soft copy to the email address listed on t
 he registration.\n\nProcessing Fee for Continuing Education Units (2 CEU H
 ours)  $100.00\n\nSign up for CEU when you register for the workshop.\n\nS
 ponsorship\n\nWe invite companies and sponsors to offer financial support 
 for the workshop. Contributions from sponsors allow us to keep the registr
 ation fee modest\; we charge about the same or less than most geothermal c
 onferences\, and also include lunches\, a reception and a dinner. This per
 mits more people to attend\, especially students and international partici
 pants. Sponsors will receive acknowledgement in the opening sessions\, wor
