 SCRIPTION\nThis session will explore how food labeling policies shape what
  foods families buy\, what companies sell\, and ultimately how healthy we 
 are. Dr. Anna Grummon will present new evidence from large randomized tria
 ls and real-world policy evaluations of new food labeling policies\, highl
 ighting which policies improve consumer understanding\, encourage healthie
 r purchases\, and avoid widening disparities. Framed through a “strategi
 c science” approach\, the talk will show how research can be used to inf
 orm policy and strengthen efforts to improve diet and long-term health for
  children and their families.\n\nEDUCATION GOALS\n\nDescribe the current U
 .S. landscape of food and calorie labeling policies\, including the FDA’
 s proposed front-of-package “Nutrition Info” label and existing calori
 e labeling requirements.Evaluate evidence from randomized trials and natur
 al experiments on how different label designs affect consumer understandin
 g\, purchasing behavior\, health equity\, and product reformulation.Apply 
 principles of strategic science to identify ways pediatric clinicians\, re
 searchers\, and advocates can help translate research into effective publi
