DESCRIPTION:The Course Design Institute (CDI) is an annual program from the
  Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) that provides faculty and lecturer
 s with a collaborative environment in which to design a new course\, or mo
 dify an existing course\, optimized for student learning\, inclusion\, and
  engagement.\n\nCDI participants will apply current research on teaching a
 nd learning to the development of a syllabus\, make strategic decisions ab
 out class activities\, and work with colleagues from across Stanford. \n\n
 Open to Stanford faculty and lecturers from all academic disciplines. Thos
 e in their first three years of teaching at Stanford will benefit most\, t
 hough aspects of CDI may also be useful to seasoned instructors who would 
 appreciate teaching support or who are taking on a new or substantially re
 vised course project.\n\nThe CDI will be held in person\, on campus from 1
 0 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT on Wednesday\, September 2 through Friday\, September 
 4\, 2026.\n\nThe due date for applications this year is Monday\, June 29 a
