This year marks the 55th anniversary of the program in African & African American Studies (AAAS) at Stanford, and we are thrilled that this 55th year will be celebrated by the official departmentalization of our program on January 1, 2024. 

Join us as we celebrate our first event and Open House as the Department of African and African American Studies (DAAAS) and welcome our new Director of Finance and Operations, Sandra Kiapi! The event will be hosted on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the DAAAS Office in Building 360, Room 362B (Main Quad).
