Ramya Shankar is an international artist and vocalist whose music/sound serves as a vehicle for storytelling of the human experience. Rooted in the rich tradition of Carnatic music, she blends Indian classical elements with cross-cultural genres, creating a unique soundscape that transcends boundaries. Ramya’s distinctive voice and seamless transitions between styles have captivated audiences globally. Through sound and raag, she invites listeners on a transformative journey into the depths of human emotion and spiritual connection. She has collaborated with several Grammy winning musicians and is a member of the Recording Academy. Ramya is the founder of "Mukti Music", a transformative platform born out of her passion for connecting people through the power of music. Recognizing music’s profound ability to heal and uplift the human spirit, she embarked on a mission to create a space where individuals could find connection, solace, joy, and self-discovery through musical expression. A strong proponent of children learning music through play, she developed the "Raga Monsters" program, which revolutionizes music education by blending creativity and fun with tradition.
