 op\, you will learn basic stitches to highlight the physical and emotional
  layers of a place important to you. \n\nThis workshop emerges through Luc
 ía Huerta's questions of what it means to grow up in and inhabit spaces a
 ffected by complex social and environmental issues. Through the practice o
 f photo embroidery\, we are invited to pause and look deeply at everything
  that constitutes a space—lines\, shadows\, colors\, objects\, etc. By u
 sing thread and needle to intervene in a photograph\, we can highlight wha
 t is important to us\, showcasing our own memories and hopes for that plac
 e. \n\nThis workshop invites you to make these deep observations of the sp
 aces you call home\, generating conversations around our experiences and p
 erceptions.\n\nBeginner-friendly: No embroidery experience required. \n\nM
 aterials will be provided. In advance of the workshop\, please send the ph
 otograph you want to embroider to have it printed on photo paper.
