Communication for Action: Impacting Behavior through Assembly and Community Responsibility
This talk will begin by analyzing the processes that unfold when individuals make behavioral decisions. I will describe experiments to determine whether and how we can promote action on our own behalf and that of others. The talk will also cover the use of artificial intelligence to elevate messages to authorities within communities, concluding with research on the mechanisms that inspire authorities to work toward solving problems in their communities and a large-scale randomized controlled trial to promote behavioral change in rural areas of the United States.
