This presentation explores the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the energy sector, detailing how leading global energy companies are harnessing AI in their operations. We will delve into practical strategies for identifying high-value AI use cases specific to the oil and gas industry, outline the essential components and processes required to build robust AI applications, and discuss effective methods for scaling these solutions throughout an organization. Furthermore, the talk will highlight new trends in data-driven problem-solving and showcase examples of high-impact AI applications across the energy industry.

Bio

Amir H. Delgoshaie serves as Director of Data Science at C3 AI, where he leads products and initiatives to enhance developer productivity through AI-driven solutions. Previously, he contributed to the development of key components of the C3 AI Platform and led the deployment of large-scale AI applications across the utility, energy, and manufacturing sectors. Amir holds a Ph.D. in Energy Resources Engineering from Stanford University, where he also completed the Ignite Program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Graduate School of Business. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Sharif University of Technology and ETH Zurich.
