Stanford Energy Science & Engineering (ESE) is hosting an alumni speaker on April 17, 2024 at 4pm. The purpose of this talk is to explore the speaker's pathway to Stanford University, why they chose to work in energy and to provide insights into the industry and their career after graduation.
The talk is an in-person only event. You must register to attend.
Speaker: Jing Wan, Energy Business Executive, 2003 PhD
Dr. Wan spent 21 years in a top energy company with various technical and leadership positions ranging from researcher, technology champion, value capture & delivery management, major project executive, operations manager, and global capability general manager.
While highlighting the key foundational skills credited to Stanford education and research, she will highlight a few enhanced skills essential to her business and leadership growth – connecting the dots, decision quality, operations, economics analysis, and leadership behaviors, together with anecdotes and stories. She will also share her perspectives of the role of energy professionals in creating sustainable solutions that improve quality of life, and committing to innovations that advance modern living and a net-zero future.
