This event is over.

Event Details:

What if the future of aviation is not only possible without fossil fuels, but arriving faster than expected?

In this Explore Energy Seminar session, Amory Lovins will discuss how electric planes (EPs) and electric vehicles (EVs) are coevolving through shared innovations in design, batteries, efficiency, and supply chains. Despite the immense technical challenges of aviation, recent breakthroughs in battery-electric and fuel-cell aircraft are accelerating the timeline toward emission-free flight.

Amory Lovins is an American writer, physicist, energy efficiency pioneer, and former Chairman/Chief Scientist of RMI (formerly Rocky Mountain Institute). For over five decades, he has shaped global conversations on energy policy, innovation, and integrative design. He also teaches integrative design skills in the popular course on Extreme Energy Efficiency in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.

This event is co-hosted by Explore Energy House and the Stanford Energy Club.
