The COVID-19 pandemic and anti-Asian racism have disproportionately affected Asian communities, leading to increased discrimination, xenophobia, mental health struggles, and barriers to academic and career advancement among Asian college students and medical trainees. 

Huiqiong Deng, MD, PhD, will discuss the results and takeaways of the following studies: 

  • COVID-19’s Impact on Discrimination and Racism Experienced by Asian Medical Trainees and 

  • Impacts of COVID-19 On Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) College Students
