Farewell, Lost Birds!

Sponsored by

This event is over.

Event Details:

The Anderson Collection is partnering with Stanford Live and the Stanford Office of the Vice President for the Arts to say goodbye to Todd McGrain’s The Lost Bird Project. The Lost Birds will be leaving campus in early September, help us send them off in style!

Join us at the Anderson Collection in the Denning Resource Center for a special screening of The Lost Birds Project documentary, a film about public art, extinction and memory. It is an elegy to five extinct North American birds and a thoughtful, moving, sometimes humorous look at the artist and his mission. After the film screening, attendees are invited to participate in a short, walking tour of the sculptures lead by the Anderson Collection’s Director, Jason Linetzky and the programs and engagement Director of Stanford Live, Laura Evans.
