As part of the Stanford Libraries pop-up exhibits on FOOD, Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Collections will feature a selection of maps, atlases, and books that feature different perspectives on how we manage agriculture and access to food.
Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2-4pm in Branner Library (2nd Floor, Mitchell Earth Sciences Building).
On display will be several items including:
- Feed the planet: a photographic journey to the world's food (George Steinmetz, 2024)
- Food: an atlas (Guerrilla Cartography, 2023)
- Reedley, California: "the world's fruit basket" (Barkclay Maps, 1969)
- Great Britain, her natural & industrial resources (British Information Services, c.1944)
- Several counter-maps created by Stanford students depicting their food experiences at Stanford.
Before heading to Branner on Thursday, check out two other Food Pop-up Exhibits happening Tuesday (4/08) and Wednesday (4/09)!

A current Stanford ID is needed to enter the libraries, visitors must present a government issued ID card to sign-in at the front desk.
