Join us for an insightful talk with Dr. Koji Lau-Ozawa on navigating graduate school, post-grad life, and the job search, along with his research and career path. Gain valuable insights and ask questions as you prepare for your next academic or professional steps. Lunch will be provided.

Koji Lau-Ozawa is a Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA in the Asian American Studies and American Indian Studies Centers. He completed his PhD in Anthropology at Stanford University in 2023, and before that received a master’s degree from San Francisco State University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh. Lau-Ozawa’s research focuses on the intersections between Japanese American Incarceration and Indigenous Lands. He has published articles in academic journals and local ethnic media, as well as producing a documentary on Santa Barbara’s former Japantown. Before graduate school, Lau-Ozawa worked in archaeology for the National Park Service and Stanford Heritage Services.
