What does it mean to teach as an Asian American at Stanford? How can we best take care of ourselves and our students as we practice teaching as community-building? This is a workshop and brainstorming session on the unique challenges and affordances of Asian American pedagogies for graduate students. With support from graduate teaching consultants from the Center of Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Dr. Nichole Nomura, we will explore CTL resources, pedagogy strategies, and specific techniques for community-engaged teaching.
