In this informal talk and discussion, Corbin Campbell, PhD, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Associate Professor in the School of Education at American University, will draw from a multi-institutional study of over 700 courses across institution types to share insights about the current state of teaching quality in higher education today. This work, which will also be explored in a forthcoming book with Harvard University Press, provides strategies for enacting real, sustainable teaching improvements by using individual, collegial, and organizational levers to shift perceptions and priorities around teaching.
