HAI and Wu Tsai Performance Seminar with Ellen Kuhl | Automated Model Discovery – A New Paradigm in Biomedical Simulations?

Sponsored by

This event is over.

Event Details:

Abstract: The gold standard in biomedical modeling has long been to select a model and then fit its parameters to data. However, the scientific criteria for model selection remain poorly understood, and the success of this approach depends largely on user experience and personal preference. Ellen Kuhl proposes a new constitutive model that outperforms traditional models, one that could forever change how we simulate biomedical systems.

Details: Join us for an in-person breakfast with the speaker, which begins at 9:15 am in the Gates Computer Science Building, room 119. The seminar will run from 10:00 am-11:00 am with an option to attend virtually through Zoom Webinar.
