DESCRIPTION:Join us for this special community event featuring a sound bath
  performed by The Holistic Chamber of Sound at the Anderson Collection. Typ
 ically held in churches and meditation centers\, a sound bath is a practice
  of deepening meditation that incorporates Tibetan instruments\, shamanic d
 rums\, chimes\, Native American flutes\, and more.\n\nThe contemplative spa
 ce of the gallery setting will provide a unique experience of the sound med
 itation journey. Participants will be immersed in artful frequencies and vi
 brations amidst the splendor of the artworks on display. \n\nParticipants w
 ill be asked to bring a yoga mat (or a towel) and a small pillow so that th
 ey can lie down in savasana (a relaxation pose)\, close their eyes\, and fo
 cus on their breath\, as wave after wave of sound washes over them. \n\nDr.
  Stephen Murphy-Shigematsu who teaches in the LifeWorks program within Stan
 ford Living Education will guide an opening meditation which will be follow
 ed by the sound bath led by Guy Douglas of the Holistic Chamber of Sound. D
 ouglas has been a gong master and sound healer for over 15 year and is also
  the creator of “The Breathwork Sound Bath” and “The Gong Chair.” \n\nFor m

 Sound Bath: 6:30 – 7:30pm\n\nArrive early to enjoy the contemplative space 
 of the galleries\, and no later than 6:15pm to ensure you have enough time 
 to set up your yoga mat before the opening meditation begins at 6:30pm. \n\
 nSpaces will be released to those on the waiting list starting at 6:15pm. \
