Student Statements and Visual Expressions of Purpose from the "Print on Purpose" Course
Join Stanford students and instructors from DESIGN 236P | AFRICAAM 235, otherwise known as Print on Purpose, to celebrate the release of Print on Purpose Vol. 2, and to view the opening of an exhibition featuring the work of Print on Purpose students.
Print on Purpose investigates social justice movements that leverage print, and printed-matter production methods. Students define what purpose means to them and make expressive work that lends their voices and visuals to the conversations. Their voices are amplified through the publication of a Print on Purpose newspaper and additional printed versions of their work. Please join us to celebrate the release of Print on Purpose Vol. 2, and for the opening of our exhibition featuring work from Print on Purpose students who took the course during the past two academic years.
Join us for this opening event and explore the exhibition, along with additional work from the course on temporary display, between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm, with brief remarks from the Print on Purpose team between 12:15 and 12:45 pm.
A light lunch will be provided; RSVP is required. The RSVP form includes space for dietary needs and requests for accommodations.
