Race, identity, the insertion and presence of the Black individual and women in contemporary society act as main drivers and questions raised in the work of Brazilian artist Priscila Rezende. From her own experiences as a Black and Latin American woman, imposed limitations, discrimination and stereotypes are exposed in intense works of performance art, which seek to establish with the public a direct and clear dialogue. The audience is confronted by different realities, displacing them from their positions of comfort and to question their crystallized prerogatives.

Brazilian artist Priscila Rezende will present a selection of her works, followed by a roundtable discussion with Guilherme Foscolo (Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia) and Tom Winterbottom (Stanford University).
