Event Details:

The Department of Art & Art History presents this year's Holt Visiting Artist, Jenifer K Wofford, and her exhibition titled Comfort Room. This exhibition will be open from September 26 through December 8* at the Coulter Art Gallery. Join us for the opening reception on Wednesday, October 4, 3:30-5:30pm.

"'Comfort Room' is the term for toilet in the Philippines. It serves as an amusing euphemism for a place of relief and release. 'Comfort Room' in this exhibition, however, is about imagining a space for grief, growth, and reinvention..."

Jenifer K Wofford is a San Francisco artist and educator whose work investigates hybridity, history, calamity and global culture, often with a humorous bent. She is also 1/3 of the Filipina-American artist trio M.O.B.
