Judith Fan’s lab aims to explain how people have come to use cognitive tools to express abstract ideas in physical form, deploying them to learn, share knowledge, and solve problems. The talk will delve into her lab’s research and discuss the implications for advancing theories of human cognition and enhancing real-world impact, including in AI and education.
