DESCRIPTION:Join the staff of the Los Angeles Review of Books for a convers
 ation about careers in publishing after graduate school. LARB staff--who h
 old humanities PhDs--will offer advice about how to build careers in publi
 shing as current graduate students\, discuss the Los Angeles Review of Boo
 ks more broadly\, and share from their own experiences of moving into publ
 ishing and literary arts nonprofit work from academia.\n\nThe representati
 ves from LARB will be Irene Yoon (Executive Director of LARB) and Lindsay 
 Wright (Director of the LARB Publishing Workshop). Caroline McKusick\, ass
 ociate editor at Stanford University Press\, PhD in anthropology from UC D
 avis\, and alum of the publishing workshop\, will also join. \n\nThis is a
 lso an Information Session about the LA Review of Books Publishing Worksho
 p. This is a competitive opportunity for Stanford seniors or graduate stud
 ents in any field who are interested in the publishing industry.\n\nThe Pu
 blishing Workshop is an intensive month-long summer course held virtually.
  The program runs from June 24–July 26\, 2024. Applications are due by A
 pril 1\, 2024. The program is open to graduating college seniors\, those w
 ho have already graduated (alumni of any college or university)\, current 
 graduate students\, or people with significant relevant experience. Learn
