As Ukraine fights for freedom and democracy, Stanford students call on the San Francisco Bay Area community to provide a beacon of hope, a Lighthouse for Ukraine. On May 8th, “Lighthouse for Ukraine” events will be held in cities across the world including London, Oxford, Paris, and Berlin. Lighthouse will also be streamed online to a worldwide audience. We will have consul general of Ukraine Dmytro Kushneruk, Professors McFaul and Fukuyama, as well as other prominent Ukrainian and local speakers talk about their experience in Technology, Politics, Charities, Volunteering, Emigration, Democracy in relation to the war in Ukraine. Schedule:
12:00 - 1:00 pm – Fair with Ukrainian food, art, and music. Vendors will be fundraising to support Ukraine!
1:00 - 2:30 pm - Keynote Speakers
2:30 - 3:00 pm - Music and Dance Session
2:30 - 4 pm – Fair continues with more food, art, and dancing.
